Oliver had a Lego birthday party the week before his birthday. We started out by coloring lego people.
I just wanted an activity for the kids to do while we waited for everyone to arrive, but this was surprisingly popular with all the kids.
We made our own pizzas. Oliver was so excited, he loves pizza. Marion was excited because she got to cook.
We spray painted lego men shirts with a stencil that I made. Oliver has worn his for a solid week now.
We had the kids divide up in teams to build lego cars and then we had a race with them. Elora was the only one willing to push her car hard, meaning it went the farthest, and also left pieces in a trail behind it!
Oliver blowing out the candles on his lego cake.
Oliver wanted chocolate cake with cookie dough in the middle. YUM.
Elora was excited because her friend Kaitlyn came over with her brothers. So fun to have families in town with kids the same ages as my kids.
Oliver asked the whole party long to open presents, so he was pretty excited when it was finally time to open them.
He loved Jane’s gift so much he spontaneously hugged her. Or maybe he just likes Jane. She got him dinosaurs and candy though, and that is pretty awesome.
James wandered around in his jammies munching on pizza. Not a bad way to spend the day.
We finished the party by playing “Don’t Eat Pete” which some friends in Austria introduced us to. We found a game board for it in a box of old stuff Chris’ mom gave us, which is great because we love that game! All the kids had a great time playing except Marion cried when it was her turn and everyone yelled “Don’t Eat Pete!” She said, “Don’t yell at me!” But other than that we all had a great time at the party. Happy birthday little man!
