Last month our friend MaryAnne came to visit us! She lives in Vienna but came out to tour western USA for a month and we are so glad that she could stop by our place. We went for a short hike near our house and the kids all tried out their new rain boots in the river.

Our kids love to hike and explore, luckily it was only cloudy but not raining so we could walk around a bit.

We switched people out so we could take pics of everyone who was there! I haven’t seen MaryAnne since Marion was a baby, so I am so glad she could visit us!
MaryAnne had just been in Las Vegas and went to the M&M factory. She shared her COCONUT M&Ms with us. They are SO good and have fun tropical pictures on them. Marion is sometimes shy around people she doesn’t know, but MaryAnne had chocolate, so the kids “remembered” her really quickly and had a great time hiking with her.
James found some M&Ms someone dropped in the dirt and really enjoyed them.
I have a picture of these two together the last Sunday we were in Vienna. Here they are again three years later! So good to see old friends.

It started to rain so we ran back to the car. The kids liked this part of the hike best. Thanks MaryAnne for coming by! We hope to see you again (this time before three years have passed!)
