Christiana Comes to Visit!

Our niece Christiana is staying with us for the summer! We are excited to have her visit and show her around the city.

There are some important firsts that Christiana has to experience while staying with us. She had her first kebab within the first week. Good food is a must while staying in Vienna.

Here is Christiana at Schnitzelwirt eating her first (but not her last!) schnitzel.

Here is Christiana’s first visit to the zoo. Oliver was still pretty worn out from being sick and in the hospital, so we got to enjoy pushing him around in the stroller during our visit.

The kids were really sweet and liked helping Oliver have a great time at the zoo. I think they missed him while he was in the hospital. The little ones really enjoyed taking care of their big brother.

First Eskimo ice cream!

First Medieval Festival in Wolkersdorf. The kids loved watching the joust, the magician, and James even got a handmade nail from the blacksmith. There were some epic battles after the festival in the park.

First Vienna Philharmonic Concert. We love the free summer concert at the Schonbrunn every year. It is such a fun experience. The kids got tired before the end, but everyone got excited to hear the Harry Potter theme song. Oliver wanted to stay for the whole thing, so I found a place to sit with the other kids on a blanket while he enjoyed a couple more songs with Chris before heading home.

First visit to Stadtpark and Christiana is starting to realize just how many photos we take. She told me she doesn’t like having her picture taken, which means it will be a LONG summer for her because we love photo! Marion was just doing her own thing, as usual.

The kids wanted to take a picture with Johann Strauss. We take one every time we come to Stadtpark. I wonder if we came more often if they would still want to take a picture every time.

First visit to the Art Museum. It is always fun to show people around this beautiful place. The kids love the art museum.

First haircut in Europe! Christiana picked out a great shorter style for the summer.
