I love the new ZOOM Studio! It is called Splish Splash Balderdash and the theme is building boats and other water activities. There are awesome work benches and real tools for the kids to use and plenty of fun ways to play in the large, colorful water tanks.
I was so impressed to see the kids using hot glue guns and small saws, all properly after watching the safety demonstration. I had to help James a bit, but the older kids took right to it and really loved building their boats.
Elora decorated hers with super fun pictures of the crazy cow and made little cork pirates.
James and Marion loved the colorful water tanks. There were little magnetic fishing poles, fans to make “wind” for sailing the boats, and it was also fun to sail the boats into the water spouts.
This is a picture in front of the rotating outdoor art exhibition. There have been interesting sound displays, boats, disco balls and more in this space. The kids were a little disappointed that the new exhibition is just a pretty pink background with big polka dots on it. I thought is was fun, Oliver wondered why it was considered art, and it in general created much less enthusiasm in my little art critics than previous exhibitions.
The kids were so excited to take home their boat creations and we had a lot of fun bath times over the weekend! This was a really fun activity and I am happy that we have another reservation to attend next month before the studio changes again!
