We surprised the kids with tickets to a Lindsey Stirling concert! Elora loves Lindsey Stirling and has watched all of her youtube videos. We didn’t tell them where we were going until it was time to leave and then we handed them the tickets…
That is one excited little girl!
We had a little time before the concert started, so we headed to a pastry shop just around the corner from us. We each picked out a yummy treat to eat before heading to the concert.
Elora picked out a Lindsey Stirling t-shirt and chose to put it on before the concert started.
I must be getting old, because I thought the music was too loud. Elora loved every moment of the concert and had so many big smiles. Oliver enjoyed it too, but I could tell that the evening went a little too late for him. He was pretty tired by the end. What I did love about the concert is that Lindsey Stirling is so genuine. She shared why she wrote certain songs, talked about her belief in God, talked about her own set backs on the way to fame, and really, genuinely was inspiring and sweet. I’m grateful that there are artists like her for my little girl to look up to.
When the concert was over Elora said, “Thank you for taking me to the concert. I loved it. Now I feel like I can do anything!” Thanks Lindsey Stirling for inspiring our little one to go out and conquer her fears and doubts!
