There is a cafe near us that I love called Strudl’s. I go there when I go out by myself so I can relax with really yummy soup and even better dessert. I have been telling Chris how great it is and we were supposed to go there on our anniversary, but it was closed because that day was a holiday. We decided to go out for a short dinner date this week so Chris could try out my new favorite place.
They have savory strudels that I have always wanted to try. Chris got a strudel with potatoes and cheese and I got the Mexican strudel with cheese, red peppers, and corn. They were so yummy! Everything is vegetarian, but I don’t see how meat could improve the strudel I got, it was amazing! Chris thought his would have been better with some prosciutto. The portions were really large and I was so full after a bowl of soup, a huge strudel, and a large salad, but who would skip dessert at a place known for their strudels?
I got the raspberry and cream strudel which was super delicious as always with a little jar of vanilla sauce that could be poured on top. Chris got the cheesecake which was AMAZING. I don’t usually like plain cheesecake, but this one changed my mind. I can’t wait to come back another day to try the breakfast menu!
