It has gotten really hard to get reservations at the ZOOM museum, especially since I have four kids of varying ages. The different sections of the museum are recommended for different age ranges, and only one of the sections is a range that would include all of my kids. I love that there are “Little/Big Brothers and Sisters Days” so that I can take all the kids to the same area of the museum. I make the reservations way in advance, plug them into my calendar and usually forget about them until my phone sends me a reminder the day before! Right after we got home from our long trip to the USA, I had a reservation to the Ocean Exhibit that I had made two months earlier.
The Ocean is for children 0-6, but all my kids love it. They have Big Brother and Sister Days on Friday afternoons and the kids have a wonderful time pretending to captain the ship and play in the ocean.
There is a really great submarine the kids love to play in, complete with parascope and various puzzles and memory games inside.
James loves all the little tunnels that he can crawl around in.
There is a fun game where the kids can pretend to go fishing while the kids down below can put fish on the fishing poles. The kids played with the fishing game about half the time we were at the museum.
There is a play area that is a jungle and Marion loves the cat costume. She ran right up to the jungle area so she could dress up. We have been enjoying living so close to this museum!
