After watching Elora try out the 3Wave Surfing, Chris and I decided to give it a go. I have always wanted to surf.
Elora and Oliver came to watch and take pictures of our efforts.
The session starts out with a bar across the pool and I was able to stand up right away when there was a bar to hold on to. It was pretty hard and I felt like I had to concentrate super hard. After the first time I fell, I developed a new respect for little Elora. I thought it was kind of scary to fall and be tossed around in the wave pool and she fell so many times and just kept getting back up! I kept trying and although I really struggled to get up and stay up, the instructor was super helpful and patient, and on my last turn I was able to stay up and have a small taste of free surfing. It was way harder than I thought it would be!
Chris of course, as with all athletic endeavors, did a pretty great job! And Elora did a great job capturing some pictures that make Chris look like an awesome surfer! It was a fun way to spend the morning.
