I love the parks in Vienna. They are everywhere, and each one is unique. My kids each have their own favorites, but no matter which park we choose, the kids find plenty to entertain them.
This little guy is on a climbing kick. He had figured out just how many things he can climb all by himself, which is terrifying and also fun to watch.
He is so proud of himself and his new climbing abilities, and when I tried to get up and stand nearby just in case he need help, he told me to go sit down.
My kids love “Pirates of Penzance”. Here is my little Pirate King showing off his favorite scene from the movie – go watch the old “Pirates of Penzance” movie with Kevin Kline and Angela Landsbury to see the scene he is acting out.
Here we have a daring escape from the evil Sith Lords on this conveniently located spaceship.
There are always amazing climbing structures at the parks here in the city. They are not for faint-hearted parents, that is for sure. This little guy loves to explore everywhere and isn’t afraid of a challenge, probably because he is always following around his older siblings.
Oliver took a break from battling the Sith to pose for a picture with mommy. He is a huge fan of cameras and wants to document every cool thing he does. Ever. And often asks if I have enough batteries or storage space on my phone too take pictures or video.
Here is the U-Bahn we all got to ride on before we left the park today. It was quite bumpy for a U-Bahn, but still a great ride.
Elora is becoming quite daring. She climbs up tall trees, on top of playhouses, and jumps from places I wouldn’t dream of. She loves coming to the park either to explore or to climb.
James loves to wear costumes, but he is usually not dressed up as the person you think he is. This little Batman was not Batman today, he just thought the pirate king needed a cape. It did make all his climbing look more dashing.
This is one of the smaller parks, but we love to come because it is close to home, has great climbing ropes, and a nice soccer and volleyball court where we played ball today.
There have been weird storms that blew into the city every afternoon, pour train, then blow away. The last two days we have gone out right when it was raining. Today we finally got it right and went out just after the storm ended.
James had me follow him around with my camera today. He wanted me to see every new trick. Sometimes the kids just want to play on their own, and it was fun to have a day where the kids wanted me involved in their games (or at least as a cheering section)!
