We went to Legoland while we were in Florida and it was my favorite place we took the kids. They all had a great time, it was inexpensive and not crowded at all. There were a lot of neat things to see and fun places for the kids to play, not just rides.
One of the first sculptures we saw was a HUGE octopus. Marion was in heaven. She just kept walking around and around it, touching the tentacles.
We got to meet Emmett which was quite exciting for Oliver who is a big Lego Movie fan.
Since it was October, there was Brick Or Treating where the kids were given trick or treat bags and they got to trick or treat at little houses set up inside the park. They got candy, posters, magazines, and even a duplo that said the year on it. Fun stuff!
James loves pirates, so this store was a big hit with him. We probably should have bought the foam sword, it would hurt less to by hit by that one than the wooden sword he has at home.
We went to Duplo land and James was so excited that he could go on every ride, including this cute train ride. It was fun that the big kids were excited too and were all happy to find rides that James could go on.
There is a big double decker carousel that is a lot of fun with Lego horses on it.
There is a large section of Star Wars models. James loves R2-D2 and we had a hard time getting him to leave this part of the park. He also kept taking off his shoes. What a fun new skill he has learned!
This ride was fun, you had to pull yourself up with the rope and race the other people on the ride. Chris won…
We also met Wildstyle and as it turns out, Marion is a huge fan. She actually held her hand! Marion is usually a little nervous to meet the characters, but she asked about Wildstyle after meeting her.
I just love walking around and seeing all the big models. It is amazing what you can build with legos!
There was a pirate show that we went to and since Oliver sat in the front, he got to help fight the pirates! He got sopping wet, but he had a GREAT time.
James has a duplo that looks just like this one and he calls it “Grandpa” and carries it around with him. When he saw this life size one he ran right up to it calling out “Grandpa! Grandpa!” and hugged it for a LOOOOONG time. So adorable!
We enjoyed all the playgrounds in duplo land.
James has the duplo farm set, so he was really excited to ride the tractor. He loves his duplo tractor.
James turned two while we were on the road, so we made him a cake to celebrate while we were in Florida.
It looks like he is kissing the fire! But he was just blowing out the candles. We had one happy birthday boy!
