The day we started our drive home from Florida, we decided to go back to Universal Studios one more time. We still had one day left on our tickets and that way Daddy could spend some time at the park with us. We had to go on One Fish, Two Fish again since it was collectively everyone’s favorite ride.
We headed back to Harry Potter World, where Elora was excited to see Hedwig and all the kids were happy to ride the Hogwarts Express again.
We had lots more butter beer and tried a Gilly Water – which had “fish eggs” (fruity candies) in the bottom.
The fish eggs grossed me out a little, but I was surprised that all the kids really liked it.
There is a cool dragon on top of Gringott’s that breathes fire. We hung around so we could watch it a couple times. The first time it happened was super scary and really quite hot…
More Butter Beer!!!
Oliver liked to practice spell casting with his wand. His shirt is his cape, of course.
Oliver really wanted to ride the Gringott’s ride. Elora was too scared, but Oliver had been talking about it since our first day at the park, so while everyone else went on ET three times, we took Oliver on the Gringott’s ride.
Honestly, the line was the best part. It looks exactly like the bank in the movies with moving goblins and everything. Oliver was SO excited.
Oliver loved the ride. It was pretty intense, but he was super excited about it and couldn’t stop talking about it afterwards.
Oliver has no idea why we made him pose in front of a car – this picture was really for Chris since he is a huge Back to the Future fan. We had a great time at the park and then got back in the car for the long haul home. The kids all had such a great time, they often ask when we can go back to visit. I didn’t take any pictures, but we also spent time with our friends the Esplins who recently moved there. The kids have asked to go back and visit them again and Marion has informed me that she is moving to Florida when she grows up.
