I recently learned how to make an Esterhazy Torte and it was so yummy and such a great reminder of Austrian pastries that it has become a favorite for the whole family. Chris made me one for my birthday, I am so proud and it was sweet for him to go through that much work for my special day.

My sweet Oliver came to sit on my lap and sing Happy Birthday. I can’t believe how fast the kids are growing up and I am grateful for the times when they still snuggle with me. I hope it lasts!
Oliver helped me blow out my candles and I am very grateful because I haven’t been able to blow out all my candles in years. The smaller cake surface area helped out too!
Elora loved the cake so much that she says she wants one for her birthday too! It was a nice family celebration. The kids love birthdays and they made mine a special one.
