Last summer we were all excited when Auntie Sharon, Cameron, Aidan, and Drakey came for a visit. We took Elora hiking with Cameron and Aidan one day and it was so fun for the kids to get together.
We saw some mountain sheep on our way to the hike. Elora pulled out her binoculars for a better look.
I can’t believe how big all these kids are getting. It seems like just yesterday that Cam was a cute little toddler, and now he is such a handsome young man. Elora adores him and was so excited to be included on a hike with the big boys.
Elora is always trying to climb trees. Always. She is such a little monkey.
Here is Cam just after he fell in the river.
Elora jumping across the rocks and not falling in the river. I was super impressed.
I love these ladies! It is so fun to have my mom live close by and have my sister visit. I wish we all got together more often.
Elora loved walking down by the river. We tried to get her to stay up on the path, but she always migrates back toward the water.
Elora got tired of carrying her binoculars and Chris thought they complimented my outfit quite nicely.
Elora and Aidan exploring. Zion is such a great place to explore. We don’t usually go down to the main canyon, so it was especially fun for Elora to hike somewhere she has never been.
More water and mud!
The kids found their way around some huge rocks and decided to climb in, around, and on top of them.
Chris joined them and took some great photos of me and Sharon while we sat talking. We finally noticed we were being photographed and posed for this picture. The other photos will not be shared in public viewing places. It is always amazing to see what strange expressions one gets on their face while talking…
Elora found a little spring coming out of the rocks and thought that was pretty neat.
We also saw a deer really close to us.
Elora finally could not resist the water any longer and went wading in the river. It is always just a matter of time before she gets really wet.
Elora and her bug friends.
We love you Auntie Sharon and are so glad you could visit us for a little while! It was such a beautiful day for a hike.
