Chris took some family pictures for his friend Greg in Snow Canyon after we camped there. The place where they took the pictures was on the petrified sand dunes. It was so amazing to explore there. The kids really loved it.
The kids found a Juniper tree and decided it would be SO fun to pick all the berries and throw them at people.
They especially enjoyed throwing them at Greg. Elora had a dance recital later that evening, so we had her hair tied up in rags so it would be curly for the recital.
Here are some pictures of the sand dunes. The kids got to run around and explore while Chris set up his equipment and took photos.
James got a new hat to wear, and since I like him to wear hats when he is out in the sun I spent all day trying to convince him that he really needs to wear a hat. By the end of the day he had decided he likes it, and now he always goes to find this hat when he goes outside.
Chris got to haul his equipment up the sand dunes. Tripods, lights, generators, cameras…
Here are my little mountain goats running about and enjoying the scenery. I hope they didn’t photobomb too many family pictures!
I’d like to come back here and explore this area some more. No matter which way you look the scenery is great.
Since the kids liked exploring they were actually pretty patient during the whole photo shoot. What an amazing place!
Here is Greg posing while Chris tried to find the right location and lighting for the pictures. It’s pretty interesting trying to get a huge family with lots of kids to pose for photos, so we tried to get everything set up really well before everyone arrived. It went pretty well, and I am glad we got to see some awesome sights while Chris was taking pics!
