Elora wanted a fancy tea party for her birthday, so I made a lot of finger foods, some strawberry lemonade, and got ready for a bunch of kids to come over!
We picked some of the beautiful blossoms off the trees to decorate the table. I love the spring!
After snacking, the kids made fancy masquerade masks.
Grandpa thought the party was *REALLY* exciting.
Some cute kids with beautiful fancy masks! Left to Right, back row: Kaylee, Julia, Sarah, Ethan, Oliver, Kaitlyn, Ani. Front Row: Marion, Karlie, Elora, Dallin.
We went on a treasure hunt in the yard. I hid chocolate gold coins. I thought it would be really easy, but as it turns out the grass really ate up the coins and they were super hard to see! Oliver found the easiest ones right away, but by the end I had to come out and help and we still didn’t find them all. Elora just found one yesterday and the party was a month ago.
Elora was really excited to hunt for chocolate!
Elora helping everyone else find coins. It was still really fun, I just can’t believe how hard it was to spot shiny gold in the grass!
Next we decorated cupcakes. Elora and Kaitlyn are so cute. I love these sweet girls.
Here is Kaitlyn trying to figure out how to eat the cupcake and Elora accidentally knocked the spoon out of the sprinkles!
We brought out the cake even though no one was hungry after cupcakes. I should have planned that part better – but Elora was SO thrilled to blow out candles.
Presents! Elora got this cute horse painting kit from Ethan. She was really excited and I told Ethan it was a great gift – “My mom picked it out,” he said, shrugging. Ha ha, well, it was a great gift, Ethan’s mom!
Elora had a great time at her party. We’re glad she could have such a fun day! Her party ended up being two weeks after her birthday, so this girl had almost a month of birthday celebrating this year!
