We took a really quick trip to Arizona in February, to go to the Gilbert Temple open house. While we were there we met up with my good friend Jacki and her family (I have known Jacki my whole life and how fun that our girls are the same age difference as we are!)
Chase and Marion are only a couple weeks apart. As soon as we got there Marion went over to Chase and then adopted Paul as her friend for the day. She is usually pretty shy, so I was happy that she was so excited to hang out with new people!
There was a huge macaroni and cheese sculpture for some reason and we could not get the kids away from it! They were so excited.
James loves animals and when he saw the giraffes he started babbling away and tried to climb the fence to go see them a little closer.
The rest of these crazy kids mostly just ran around playing, hiding, chasing… who needs animals to look at when you have friends to play with?
Oliver loves to push the stroller when James is in it. It is really cute to see these cute brothers together.
We got to see a whole bunch of squirrel monkeys up close because they were all coming over to their house to eat dinner. The kids liked watching them jump. And I love how the kids kind of look like monkeys in this photo.
James poured some water on the ground and then proceeded to splash in it. It was pretty hot, we are not used to that in February!
Marion and Chase enjoyed playing in the sand.
Here is a whole lot of kids on the dragon statue. We got to see baby komodo dragons, which was exciting since all my kids love lizards.
These cute girls are so excited every time they see each other. They only get to play about once a year, and it is amazing because as soon as they see each other they become great friends and play so well together. I love seeing them be silly. Reminds me of when I was a kid with Jacki.
Some silly girls!
…and some older silly girls…
Some things never change.
James loved this lake. I thought he would fall in since he kept chasing the ducks right up to the water.
Our visit was way too short since we had a lot of plans crammed into a couple days visit. I am so glad we got to meet, the kids had a fantastic time and it is always great to see old friends.
