Right before Christmas, my oven died. Awesome timing. So we ordered a new oven and we decided to go ahead and get a new fridge too since we have talked about getting a new one ever since we moved into our house TEN years ago. I can’t believe it still works, it is pretty old and beat up. We had such an awesome appliance delivery man. He made a little clubhouse for the kids out of the refrigerator box.
After he had made them a door, the kids asked for a window, and he was very willing to oblige. What a great guy!
The kids liked their clubhouse so much, we moved it into their outdoor play area so they could enjoy it awhile longer.
Marion got this cute new vest for Christmas from Nana and she sure loves it! She loves all her new clothes because they are “Christmas clothes” and that automatically makes them special.
My cute girls in their new clothes with their little kitten Yappers.
Marion sure does love this cat.
We went to a Christmas party that had a white elephant gift exchange and this is what we bought. Elora liked it. I kinda wish we got to keep it.
Elora with Yappers.
Chris is a vampire walrus.
Elora built a snowman in the yard all by herself and she was so excited to show all of us.
James likes the pierogi maker. He likes to dig it out of the drawer and walk around with it.
Look at that cute candy cane monster! James was sick a lot in December and he got sick with a cold that gave him cold sores in his mouth – the candy canes seemed to help his mouth (at least he didn’t ever complain when he ate one!)
James discovered Marion’s apple hat, and he LOVES it!
Chris got a new crepe making tool and we sure love it when Daddy makes crepes.
Egg, ham, and cheese – my favorite! The kids won’t eat them, they just want butter and sugar.
Mmmmm… nutella and bananas! Also delicious, especially with whipped cream.
Right in the middle of feasting on crepes, a neighbor came by with some 5 pound bags of baby carrots. Apparently a carrot truck broke down and the carrots were going to go bad before the truck could get to its destination, so the carrots were distributed among the town. The kids were so excited, they broke into the carrot bag and started horking them down with their crepes. Funny kids. We ended up with 15 pounds a carrots and the kids were super excited to eat them every day. I guess I need to buy baby carrots sometimes.
We have been experimenting with different types of bread – here is one I tried out. Kind of fun if you are into crunchy crust (which of course, we are!)
