We spent some time making homemade peppermint patties, peanut butter cups, and almond joys. Surprisingly, the kids all liked the peppermint patties the best. We got a lot of chocolate everywhere, but the kids enjoyed it. We are just training our kids for the holidays when we will have to have an assembly line to make enough candy for the family.
James found a sword and Elora put a lovely crown on him so he could be a prince. Awesome. He was pretty excited.
I went to St. George and met my friend Stef and got to see her new cute little baby boy. Need to spend more time with this awesome woman! I love you Stef!
I went to Time Out for Women in St. George with my mom, my aunt, and many cousins. It was so fun to hang out with all these awesome ladies. Wish I did it more often. I had a great time with my family and am so grateful to Chris and my dad for taking care of the kids so I could go. There were a lot of really inspiring speakers.
My brother Gregg and his wife Vy came up to my parents house for a short visit, so we celebrated Vy’s birthday which is the same day as Marion’s. Their little girl Olivia is getting so big and is so adorable!
Elora popped up prematurely to start blowing out the candles. I love how kids just can’t help themselves, they just have to blow out the candles.
Elora and Oliver earned Book It Pizza Hut coupons for reading in October and were so excited to go out to eat. James was a little bewildered that evening, but aren’t his blue eyes beautiful?
Elora ordered an olive pizza and the waiter commented that he had never had a child order olives before. Elora is just special like that. And Oliver? He asked for just cheese and spinach. They didn’t have spinach, but I love that he eats spinach on his pizza. What a funny boy.
Chris went out of town, so after hauling all the kids to Oliver’s violin lesson and letting James play on the stairs to keep him out of trouble during the lesson, we headed to McDonald’s for dinner. Oliver was excited because he made a “V” out of the straws in his cup. And he is, of course, dressed as Robin Hood. He has worn a different costume to violin lessons every week for the last four weeks.
Elora loves this little guy and always tries to be his second mommy. He is well taken care of and he loves her so much.
James got his first ride because Elora offered to hold him. Not sure if he was that excited, but Elora sure was!
Marion has a new BYU t-shirt, so every day she asks to wear her octopus shirt with her kitty shirt over it and her soft birthday pants (leggings she got from Nana for her birthday). It is hard to get her to take them off at night to wear pajamas and even harder to convince her that I need to wash them from time to time. Funny girl.
