There are quite a few pictures in this post because I think my kids are so cute when they play in the leaves. We have some huge trees and they went from being full of leaves to being bare with the ground covered in about two days. There were a lot of leaves. And it was so fun.
I love fall and I love leaves on the ground. The kids are so fun when they get to play in big piles of leaves. Oliver got a new superman shirt from Nana and was quite excited to wear it with his superman cape when he came outside to play.
I love this kid. He is seriously so fun – and he really likes to fly.
Elora is probably the most exuberant child I have ever met – especially when there are leaf piles to jump into.
She is so fun to watch when she plays!
Marion is wearing a combination of all her favorite things – lady bug rain boots, octopus hat, purple pants, butterfly shirt and butterfly sweater. Awesome.
There’s that cute little goober again. He shed his cape so it wouldn’t get weighed down by leaves.
Elora loves to help work outside, and she was really helpful with raking the leaves. Especially because the leaf piles are better to jump into when they have been raked together.
I bought the kids a little rake and it is so fun because they actually really like to use it. Here Marion is carrying it like a spear. Maybe we need to work on the proper raking form.
Hey look, Oliver is helping too! Now that is really much more impressive, he is not such a fan of working…
Grampy was raking, but Elora took over so she could help out.
Oliver went back to jumping. Way more fun than raking.
We ended up picking up all the leaves to put into our garden. Elora was so excited to help pick up leaves. Seriously, she is definitely into the outdoor work. If we could garden or rake every day I would have a big helper all the time.
Grandpa brought back our wheelbarrow he had been borrowing and then stayed to help pick up the leaves, so that worked out pretty well. Elora decided to “help” him roll the wheelbarrow.
Marion was scooping up the leaves with a cup. I think Elora is saying, “this will take forever…”
On the way back from the garden all the kids took turns riding in the wheelbarrow. James never wanted to get out. He kept trying to climb back in it.
We broke out the snow shovel to pick up the leaves faster.
More rides. Poor Grandpa had quite a few loads to carry (and I am pretty sure the leaves were the easy ones).
Last load! We told Elora she could ride in the wheelbarrow last since she had worked the hardest. She was excited to get a turn. And now fall is ending and winter is coming! It went by so fast! But we had a great time with all the kids and family helping rake up our leaves.
