My neighbor Ila Mae gives my kids a cookie every time they go to her house. This is one of my favorite views – my kids holding hands while they cross the street to visit my neighbor. They are so cute. This day was especially great because Oliver was dressed as a top gun pilot and Elora brought dirty Teddy with her.
Look! They are squares! Perfect for Smores! Because we didn’t know how to break the rectangles in half to make smores…
I love it when Elora reads to Oliver. It is so sweet. She is quite the reader these days and always has a book in her hand. Unless she is outside, and then she is holding a stick.
Here is Oliver with his little friend Maddie. They formed a club and decided that they didn’t want any bad guys to come in, so I helped them make some signs.
Maddie makes the best faces. She is a fun little girl, Oliver loves to play with her.

Maddie, Oliver, and Marion decided to have a parade in the front yard with the bells. Music time is awesome – my kids love to get out the instruments and play music.

Marion loves purple. And polka dots. And she makes me wash this shirt a ton because she is so sad when she doesn’t get to wear purple. And she especially loves the garden.
I invited over some friends to help me make quilts to donate to foster children in our county. I love these lovely ladies and their beautiful kids. Everyone had a great time working and playing together. – with Jenna Correy and Stacey Shakespear
These kids love each other so much! A little too much for James sometimes… I think he is trying to get away.
My friend Bridget gave Oliver this little pilot costume, and of course he loves it. He loves to dress up and he thinks being a pilot is pretty awesome. Yes, he is jumping off the furniture – how else is he supposed to fly?
My good friend Jessica came to visit us this summer. We were SO happy to have her come stay for the weekend. We just hung out around the house and visited. We haven’t seen her in a couple years, and she just got back from living in Lebanon and is now moving to Serbia. Nice to see her in between adventures!
We even managed to take a picture of us together! Thanks for the visit Jessica! So sad it can’t happen more often, but we are so glad you came all this way to see us and meet James!
