One morning while Chris was working I took the kids to the lagoon. By myself. It was interesting. James loves playing in the sand and was happy with his shovel most of the time. I didn’t bother with his swimsuit because I figured there was no way that I wanted to try swimming with all four kids.
Marion didn’t want to go swimming, so she wore her yellow “beach shirt” as she calls it. I don’t know why it is a beach shirt, but she insists that when she wears it she should be going to the beach. She had a great time in the sand too.
She decided to bury my feet. I actually love having my feet buried in sand. Oliver and Elora went in the water with strict instructions to stay right in front of me in water where they could stand up. I love the Ko Olina Lagoons because there are no waves so the kids can swim and I don’t have to worry that they will get knocked over by waves. Elora and Oliver were great and played together in the water for a long time. Oliver even swam a little by himself with no floaties! Go Oliver! They saw a couple of fish in the shallow water.
Oliver decided he needed to be buried in sand, so we all helped bury him.
That is one sandy boy! We had a great time and no one even complained on the walk back because I was smart enough to pack fruit snacks that they could eat while we walked!
