We stayed with my sister Sharon while Chris was working in Huntington Beach, and she bought a groupon for this cute petting zoo near her house. So we set off with all the kids, had a little picnic and had a great day! I love these two cute cousins. They are both fiery and a little wild, but every once in awhile they would play or sit together nicely.
My camera was on its way out, but I took a few pics. Sharon bought us some sparkling pink lemonade imported from France and it was DELICIOUS!
I love how Oliver always opens his mouth when he is feeding animals. Just in case they aren’t sure they need to open their mouths to eat lettuce.
Oh look, Marion does that too! She was SO excited to see all the animals and to get to feed them.
Oliver really loved the goats.
There is the open mouth again. Kids are so funny.
Oliver is jumping for joy because he successfully fed the baby one who kept getting pushed out of the way by the bigger goats. What a sweetheart. He waited very patiently for his chance to get some food for the little baby goat.
There was a section where the kids could go inside and pet bunnies and guinea pigs. Elora was really happy to get to pet the animals.
Oliver on the other hand was excited to pretend he was riding a bunny.
Marion climbed up the fence to get a better view of the llamas.
There was a cute little train the kids could ride. Oliver was really excited because he got to sit in the engine and Elora was very sweet and asked Marion to come sit with her.
We also went panning for gemstones. They filled the little trays with sand that had gemstones, pyrite, dinosaur toys, shark teeth, and other fun things hidden in it and then the kids got to wash away the sand in the running water…
Oliver was excited to show me his prizes!
Drake was very cute and excited to watch the water pouring down.
There was a little section with old store fronts the kids could run around and play in which was a big hit.
When the kids saw the playground they all ran for the ladders together!!!
They had a great time running around and going down the slides together.
When Marion was finished with the slide she ran back to the storefronts so she could run around and play pee-a-boo with me.
This was so funny to me, but they had a huge sandbox filled with dried corn kernels. And the kids loved it. They played there until we had to drag them out to go home. I didn’t realize corn was so amusing!
Thanks Auntie Sharon for an absolutely amazing day! The kids all had a great time and we loved staying with Auntie Sharon and the cousins. The kids loved it and can’t wait to go visit again.
