Chris had to go out of town in April, so just before he left we went up to Brian Head to enjoy our last ski day of the season. My parents came and watched James and Marion so I got to ski too. Elora tried out poles. We determined they mostly got in her way, but she was so excited to use them! Maybe next year we will spend time showing her what they are actually for…
It was a beautiful warm day. Great spring skiing day!
I love skiing with Chris and the kids. The kids are so excited to ski and be at the apartment. It was really a great place for our family this winter and I am excited we will get to spend more time together skiing now that we have a great place to stay!
The kids really wanted to show me Lobo Valley, a black run that Chris has taken them on before. They always tell me about it and were so excited that I was with them so they could show it to me.
Here is Elora ready to go down. She is a brave little girl! I was way more nervous than she was.
I made it through the run without major incident, but it was not my favorite run of the day! It did have really beautiful scenery though.
There go the kids! They are pretty confident on their skis, so they didn’t bother to wait for me before they finished the run!

There is free hot chocolate at the top of the Giant Steps chairlift, which is really awesome. It is nice to take a break and get something warm to drink.
Chris told me I should wear my coat so I wouldn’t be cold, and then he skied in a t-shirt while I was super hot and sweating all day. But I love watching him ski because he is so graceful. Maybe someday I will be able to ski like that!

Elora loves finding little trails that ski off through the trees. It has been so awesome to watch her as she has learned to ski over the past 4 years. She is so confident, brave, and happy when she is on her skis.
There are a lot of pictures in this post, but I just think little kids on skis is one of the cutest things EVER.
Oliver is driving in this picture. When he has been out skiing for a little while he usually starts putting his hands in front of him, pretends he is steering a car, and starts singing his theme music. Love that kid.
Posing for a picture with the beautiful scenery. Brian Head is a pretty awesome place to ski. It is not real crowded, is beautiful, and has some pretty good runs. Looking at these pictures, I am already looking forward to next season (especially because I already have my season pass!!!!) The kids are also asking to go to the apartment, they don’t seem to realize there isn’t any skiing there now that it is almost June!
