Once Marion started feeling a little better she started asking to ski – of course – so Chris took her up the chairlift for one run down the mountain where he held her on his skis. Unfortunately, now the Brian Head people told us that if we want to do this we have to buy a “baby carrying pass”. Who ever heard of that?!?! So Marion will have to stay off the chairlifts until she is a little bigger.
I can’t believe how much Elora and Oliver have improved this year. They loved having me ski with them so they could show me all the “secret spy trails” that they have found on the mountain.
This is one of their favorite secret spy trails that they showed me. There are a few new ones now that involve trees and powder, so I haven’t tried those ones out yet. Maybe later this year…
I can’t believe how big the kids are getting! I told Chris I will only ski with one of them at a time. I tried one run with both kids and they have no problem skiing off without me in totally different directions… so now if they want to ski with mom they go one at a time… We also bought walkie talkies for them now that they wear when skiing so that we can talk to them. They love it – the only problem is that Elora is really chatty, so I still can’t tell her which way to go until she stops talking, and Oliver likes to sing his own theme music while skiing…
For our anniversary this year we went out skiing on our own for a day (can you guess who picked this anniversary outing?) I think this is what we did last year too…
Chris also found a great restaurant in Parowan called “The Pizza Barn”. Awesome. We both ordered our own large pizza. Chris wanted to order 13 pizzas – one for each year of marriage. Maybe we can do that next year.
We forgot the camera, so this is the best picture we could get with the mp3 player…
Me with the leftover pizza. Then we headed to the grocery store to buy Ben and Jerry’s to eat all by ourselves while we watched a movie at our condo. The Pizza Barn was actually pretty good. Ben and Jerry’s was better. Being married to Chris all these years… is the best decision I have ever made. Even if I have to ski on my anniversary every year.
