Playing in the Sprinklers

When I was downloading my pictures from the Apple Festival, I found these great pictures I took this summer that I could never figure out where they went… I guess we haven’t used this camera in awhile! I always let the kids play in the sprinklers when I needed to water the lawn. Probably not great for the lawn, but the kids loved it!
This summer was really hot during the day. It stayed nice and cool at night so it was actually a nice summer, but the kids were always excited to play in the water when they were outside!
Notice they never actually go in the middle of the water. They always just run in circles around the outside of the sprinkler where they won’t get their faces wet.
Oliver would usually sing while running in circles around the sprinklers. I love hearing that little guy make up his own theme music.
I LOVE the way Elora looks in this picture. I don’t remember what she was doing. Is she growling? Is she showing off how buff she is???
Oliver enjoys drinking the water. Luckily I was using culinary water that day, since I don’t think he should drink the irrigation water… and for some reason nothing I say can convince him that water coming out of the hose probably isn’t that clean.
When Elora is happy and playing, I love the expressions on her face. She is just so fully and completely enjoying herself! It reminds me how all the little things in life can bring absolute bliss.
And another picture of my happy girl. She has always been so completely full of life since she was born. I love this girl! And all the others too, but I love it when I can get pictures of Elora when she is playing (since when we ask her to smile she usually makes goober faces!)
