This August we had TONS of rain. It seemed like it rained every day. One night Chris went outside and found a HUGE frog hopping around in our driveway. I have never seen a frog at our house and have no clue where this one came from. Chris put it in a bucket so the kids could see it the next day. They were all so excited to see the frog, and would have loved to keep it, but we told them just to hold it for a few minutes and then let it go.
Elora was (of course) the only one who decided to hold it. She was very excited about her new friend.
I love this kid, she is so cute and I love how excited she is to hold frogs, toads, bugs, snakes… When she finally let it go, she decided to let him go in the garden. I have no clue where he went, but he disappeared really fast! We have never seen a frog since then either, so I guess something about the weird summer weather brought out this big guy, and maybe the kids scared him off!
