Every year the there is a big picnic in the town of Alton, just down the road from us. We were excited to go this year – there is always good food, and of course, a little “train” ride that the kids love.
Here is the Alton Train. Oliver has already asked multiple times if he can have a tractor like that to turn into a train. To which I suppose I should respond – If you live in our town? Sure you can!
Marion was excited about a pine cone that she found, and to ride the train!
Oliver and Elora liked the train better than Marion did, so I had the privilege of riding it three times a row with them. I love the look on Oliver’s face! He was so happy.
We let them ride on their own in the smaller cars a couple times after I got to queasy to ride anymore… Then we headed off to the cupcake walk and the hay ride! We didn’t get any pictures of the hay ride, but the kids were really excited about the horses.
While waiting for the food, Chris took the kids to the park, where the fire truck was spraying everyone with the fire hose. Unfortunately their spraying got a little carried away and got some of the little kids at the park. Marion was NOT impressed. She cheered up when she found these little spring horses to ride!
