Chris’ birthday was in January, and I just now downloaded all the pictures off my camera. I had no idea it had been so long since I downloaded the pictures… with a broken camera screen I never remember what is on there. Chris had a low-key birthday celebration with the kids and crock pot chocolate lava cake – okay, I was experimenting. It seemed like good idea and didn’t taste too bad…

Oliver loves the part where we sing “Happy Birthday”. The kids LOVE birthdays, so they were happy to celebrate with daddy.

I love how little kids always help blow out the candles. Chris sort of needed help this year, that was a lot of candles!

Marion was excited to try the cake and whipped cream – she loves desserts of all kinds. And chocolate goes well with her pretty white vest that she always wears.

When Elora found out it was almost Daddy’s birthday, she told me “I want to get Daddy chocolate and work stuff for his birthday. Won’t he be excited?” When I asked her what sort of work stuff she replied, “Like, batteries and chargers and cords and stuff.” We ended up sticking with the chocolate idea.
