October 5th is National Walk to School Day. It was nice and cold that morning, but I bundled up the kids and we headed off. Elora had been so excited about it all week. The funny part is, once we started walking she said she felt nervous. I am not sure why – nervous about walking in the road? Anyway, I couldn’t get more explanation than that. But Oliver had a blast. He was so excited to walk to school with Elora. He held her hand the whole time and excitedly pointed out the houses of some of his friends that we passed by. We even got to stay with Elora at the school to eat breakfast with her. Oliver also loved this because he got to try Trix yogurt for the first time, which is a disgusting shade of hot pink… He thought that was pretty neat. I hope Elora is a little less nervous for Walk to School Day next year! But we were glad to come and enjoy this event with her.
