Chris’ grandfather was in the navy, and one of his uniforms was made into a sailor suit that Chris’ dad wore as a kid. Now it has been passed down and we make all our kids wear it for pictures – and they are so cute! Chris’ grandma was one talented seamstress.
It is Oliver’s turn to wear the sailor suit, and he had never had any “studio” portraits taken since he was a baby. This turned out to be in our favor – he was SO excited about the flashes and lights that he smiled and laughed through the whole photo shoot.
Here he is laughing after the lights flashed the first time.
We had to post a few because we couldn’t decide which one we liked best. What a good lookin’ kid!
Elora got to hop in because she was so happy about Oliver’s pictures. She is such a sweet sister, she was right there the whole time helping make Oliver smile and telling him how nice he looked in his sailor suit.
And now for flashback time – here is Elora when she was two. She was a much harder kid to take pictures of because she would always run toward the camera! But we love her attempt at a salute.
And here she is giggling. She always used to cover her mouth when she laughed.
Bigger flashback – here is Chris in the sailor suit when he was a little boy! We’re going to have to find a place to display all the sailor suit pics in our house. I just wish we had one with Chris’ dad in the sailor suit!
