Bridal Veil Falls with Jessica

Our good friend Jessica that we met in Vienna met us in Provo a few weeks ago and we went hiking to Bridal Veil Falls. It was soooooo great to see her. She lives in Lebanon now and we don’t get much chance to visit her there!

The kids loved the waterfall and liked hiking around in the freezing cold water. Luckily for me, Chris was more indulgent than I was and went walking around in the water with them.

They liked climbing up the rocks on the front of the waterfall. There was tons of snow last winter so the waterfall had a lot more water than I have ever seen before, so we didn’t let them hike up real far.

“Look mom! A really weird bug is crawling on my arm!” Elora is so great. She’s happy when any bug is crawling on her. It jumped in her hair after this and she thought that was pretty cool too.

Oliver had a great time playing with Jessica and climbing on big rocks. The only disappointment was that her dog Bijou couldn’t make the trip to America, so the kids were a little sad. But Jessica is still one of our favorite friends to hang out with!

We sat down at the park near the waterfall to eat some snacks while the kids ran around a little more.

Marion had a good time trying to eat the grass and drink all of our water.

After our little picnic we headed over to the creamery for some ice cream. I can’t believe that all the time I lived in Provo, I had actually never gotten ice cream here. It was sooooo good! Elora even found a flavor called “Sparkle” that was pink and sparkly, which of course means it tastes good. We are looking forward to the next time Jessica comes stateside so we can enjoy another visit and hear more about her adventures in Lebanon!
