Chris got to take the youth to the temple to do baptisms and the whole family got to come along too. Because everybody loves a grueling trip down to the bog-of-eternal-heat-traffic city known as St. George. Karen took the kids to the visitors center and they were excited to look at all the exhibits. The especially liked the statue of Jesus. Oliver was so excited and didn’t want to leave. The Sister Missionaries gave each of the kids a picture of Jesus. They were very excited to hold them up for this picture.
But then they found the display with pictures and audio that told the story of Jesus’ life. There was a missionary there that showed them an exhibit of St. George in pioneer times. The kids had a really great time and were happy to see missionaries again. We don’t have too many near our house (never see them actually).
Afterwards we stopped for a quick picture outside the St. George Temple before heading off to 5-Guys (yummmm…..) to get a huge hamburger. Elora loves this place now, because they have waaaay overpriced grilled cheese sandwiches and she lovingly calls it “5-Men”.
