While Amy and Amanda were staying with us, Chris decided to make use of their woodworking skills to help him build some corner storage benches to go with our dinner table.
After deciding that having custom benches made was going to be a bit too pricey for us, Chris decided to try his hand at woodworking. Amy could be found most evenings outside helping Chris with his work, and Amanda occasionally hopped outside to help out too.
Because our floors are so incredibly uneven, Chris had to install levelers on the bottom so the benches wouldn’t rock like a boat.
Voila! This is the almost completed project. Chris also put in a corner piece that is not pictured here. But now we have more seating for our table, and lots of storage space to hide the toys and junk that are usually on the floor of our living room. One home improvement project down, about 57 to go…
