There aren’t a lot of activities besides hiking we could offer to Amy and Amanda during their visit, but the next town over has three rock shops – so after Elora’s swimming lesson one day we headed over to one of the shops to check it out.
Elora liked the big dinosaur they had outside, and she LOVED all the fancy rocks.
Here are Oliver and Elora with the Old Miner. I gave each of the kids $1 to spend. Elora found a shiny pink rock that she bought and Oliver picked out five small smooth colored stones.
Amy and Amanda were a big fan of the Miner also, and found some really neat flat cuts of rock that they bought for their sister Jessie, themselves and some friends. The rock shop was a big hit with everyone. The next time they visit we will have to check out the other two shops.
