It was my parent’s anniversary, and I asked my dad, “So, are you going to take mom out somewhere nice?” In the end we all went out to dinner together at the Elephant Bar, which is fine by us, because we all love that place!
Chris and Oliver having a chopstick swordfight while waiting for the food. You have to do something to keep the kids entertained…
We had previously decided to have the kids share a meal since they can never eat a whole one, but when Oliver saw a picture of mac and cheese on the menu he insisted that he get his own! We were quite impressed that he actually ate the whole thing too!
The kids liked taking baths in a “big bathtub” instead of their Ikea bucket inside of a stall shower. Marion is still not so sure about this whole water thing.
While in California we went to visit one of Chris’ friends from high school who lives across the street from the San Diego Temple. We took a couple pictures at the temple before we went over for dinner. The kids had a really great time at their house and asked if we could go see them again, but we forgot to take any pictures… The pre-dinner entertainment was pretty good too – Nick had found an old German project video that he and Chris had done together. Too funny…
Isn’t she cute? We have lots of pictures like this since she can’t sit up or crawl yet, but we never get sick of looking at them.
Oh look, here is another one. Marion is such a sweet happy baby.
And this is one of the many joys of potty training Oliver… he enjoys unrolling entire rolls of toilet paper and then refuses to leave the bathroom until he has rerolled the whole thing. Good times. And now for some amusing conversations with Elora:
—————————–
Elora: Dad is a gooder driver than you.
E: He doesn’t go the wrong way.
E: Did you call the instructors?
E: You should push the button and call the Einstein people.
