The kids’ birthdays are only a month apart, so their big birthday present this year was a puppy! Chris and I went shopping at Walmart one night and saw some people in a truck selling puppies. We went to check it out and saw all these cute black lab puppies (which is the only type of dog I have ever agreed to own…) They were inexpensive, and super cute, and we felt that with all the changes going on in the kids’ lives right now, that they might need a little friend they can take with them where ever we go.Elora got distracted by the camera and started posing. She is such a little ham.Introducing: Yoda! We told the kids they had to agree on a name. Oliver was wearing a Yoda t-shirt, so I suggested it as a name and the kids both loved it right away. He is a really mellow sweet little puppy. The kids favorite game is to run back and forth with the dog chasing them. This is my favorite game too, because it wears everyone out.Yoda gets a little too much love from Elora sometimes… but he still loves her, and it is sweet to see her hugging him and telling him that she loves him. We think Yoda will end up being Elora’s dog, she spends so much time with him!It was a little tough to get a good picture of the kids and the puppy… So here are a couple tries. The best part about a puppy? The kids play outside almost the whole day, running around. It’s been great to see them become friends with Yoda and help take care of him.
I love the puppy. We have a dog and it is great. I am glad that you guys found one the fits your family.
